Jan Royce

G J Royce is an award winning artist born in Oklahoman who after a long career in management decided to accomplish her lifelong dream of being an artist. Mostly self taught until finding excellent art courses at Rose State College, she has also taken advantage of various workshops taught by well-known regional artists.

 

Realism with an occasional light touch of impressionism is her preferred style of painting and mediums vary from graphite to color pencil, pastel to acrylic paints and inks or combinations thereof. Subjects are usually animals, mostly horses, some dogs and cats but of late interests have expanded considerably.  Her art has been shown in several local businesses as well as in several exhibits of the Mid- Del Art Guild.  

 

Her art is available at ‘Once More Décor’ in downtown Moore, OK and commissions are accepted.  She has been a member of the guild for eight years and currently serves as Second Vice-President and Event Coordinator.
