Our Commitment to Our Artists

The Mid-Del Art Guild is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, and our bylaws state our objectives as:

1. To promote goodwill between artists and the community.

The Mid-Del Art Guild Hanging Around Town program (see map below) exposes the communities of Midwest City and Del City to art, and the guild artists to a wide audience. It's a win-win.

We also have several exhibitions and invite the public to come by, take in the artwork, and interact with our artists. See the Event List to catch us out and about!

2. To treat each artist as a valuable individual.

Artists of all media, skill level, educational background, and walks of life are welcome to join us! We strive to provide useful services to our members, such as educational demonstrations by established artists, an individual portfolio page on this website, and plenty of exposure through our shows and social media.

3. To have learning experiences and to share knowledge.

Every month (except September) on the first Monday, we have a member meeting that includes a demonstration by an established artist and a chance to network with fellow guild members. Each month, members receive a newsletter that includes recaps of demonstrations, workshops, information on other members, and various other resources to help them further their art career.

4. To develop between artists and the general public such united effort as will secure art appreciation and education.

We work with Rose State College to foster relationships with existing and up-and-coming artists of all types.
